The design of the Protherm Cheetah 23 MTV boiler has a basic composition of assemblies and structural elements typical for most convective installations of this type.
The main units of the unit include:
- Chromium-nickel alloy gas burner.
- Primary copper heat exchanger.
- Hydraulic group, which includes a three-way valve, water make-up and discharge devices, and other elements.
- Secondary stainless steel heat exchanger.
- Grundfos circulation pump.
- Turbocharger fan.
- Expansion tank with a capacity of 5 liters.
- Electronic control board with microprocessor connected to an external display panel.
- Self-monitoring sensor system, which continuously monitors the state of all boiler elements and signals about errors.
The boiler operates according to a typical scheme. The heat carrier enters the heat exchanger, where it is heated to the maximum temperature.
Then it is removed and enters the secondary heat exchanger, where hot water is heated. After that, the liquid enters the three-way valve, partially mixes with the return flow and acquires the set temperature corresponding to the set heating mode. The extract air then flows out to the external heating circuit.
Heating is provided by a gas burner, which automatically starts or stops when the set temperature limits of the coolant are reached.
The air supply for the organization of optimal combustion is provided by a fan, which simultaneously creates a draft for the removal of gas combustion products. Air intake is made from the external compartment of the coaxial chimney, purchased separately.
The operation of all units is monitored by a system of sensors that monitor the presence of a flame, gas or water pressure, signal all failures or malfunctions. The occurrence of any problems is immediately indicated on the display by an alphanumeric code indicating this or that error.

Types of boilers
