general information
MAG pro devices are ready to connect. They only need to be connected to the pipelines and the flue gas system. They serve to supply hot water to one or more taps, such as washbasins, showers and bathtubs. The devices must be connected to a natural draft flue gas system (chimney). They are equipped with a maintenance-free piezoelectric igniter for the pilot burner. All gas instantaneous water heaters are equipped with an overturning draft sensor (sometimes also called a sensor for the release of combustion products into the room), which interrupts the gas supply to the burner in the event of a malfunction in the gas pipeline. The devices can be adapted to the type of gas available. To convert the device to a different gas type, contact a Vaillant-certified specialist from a specialized licensed company.
After installation, the installer noted the exact designation of your device in the installation manual in table. 10.2 "Setting parameters depending on the type of gas".
Distinctive characteristics of the product
The maximum performance of the device can be infinitely adjusted depending on the need by presetting the power. These characteristics provide the user with the following advantages: - The device only consumes as much gas as

Geyser Vilant - Methods of repair and maintenance
___________________________________________________________________________________________
- Vaillant Speakers - Troubleshooting
The Vaillant Atmomag 11-0 / 0 xz pro geyser broke. A loud noise is emitted during pilot flame operation. Very similar to the sound of gas passing through a narrow opening. What could it be? Locate the air intake port on the pilot and cover it with foil. The column Vilant 14 is in operation. Recently it stopped turning on. I replaced the batteries, but it did not help. What could it be? Check the membrane first. If everything is in order with her, then check the electrician for oxidation. Start with the batteries and work your way through all the wires and connectors to the microswitch. After 5 months of successful operation, the Vaillant Mag 14-0 / 0 rxi geyser stopped turning on. The batteries are new. How to be? The reason could be anything. First of all, there may be problems with the membrane. When the water flow opens, it is necessary to make sure that the plate moves away from the microswitch. If so, then everything is in order with the membrane. Then check the contacts in the microswitch, wires and batteries. See if you have a switch at the bottom of the appliance. Perhaps the problem is in him. It is also possible that there are any connectors inside the water heater. You check them too. The following problem happened with my Vilant gas water heater. When I turn on the tap to supply heat and water, it starts to work, but does not turn off. In this case, a continuous rise in temperature is observed. To stop this, I had to get the batteries out of the compartment. After I installed the batteries back, while the water tap was closed, the device continued to work anyway. What could it be? Most likely, you have a faulty microswitch, it is also possible that the membrane has broken. To solve your problem, you need to contact the service specialists. Can you please tell me if it is possible to configure the column so that the solenoid valve and the mechanical one open at the same time? Moreover, I want to adjust the mechanical valve without touching the solenoid valve. It just seems to me that my solenoid valve opens earlier than the mechanical one does. The valve mechanism. After the hot water supply tap opens, the membrane of the water block bends and begins to press on the stem. This rod pushes against the microswitch and the gas valve on the burner opens. The current is being supplied to the control unit. This is followed by a spark for 7 seconds. After 2-3 seconds from the start of the water supply from the control unit, a signal is sent to the solenoid valve, which opens. As soon as a flame appears, the spark stops. That is, you need to check the water block and the moment the microswitch is turned on. Perhaps the problem is in the contacts. I have a Vaillant Mag OE 11-0 / 0 xz gas instantaneous water heater installed. It has been hanging on the wall for 2 days already. But ignition occurs only when the regulator responsible for the water temperature is set to the maximum mode. If you turn it even slightly in the other direction, the unit turns off immediately. And do not turn on until the regulator is returned to its place. What could it be? You probably have a water pressure problem. It's too small. It is also possible that the faucet is clogged with debris, or as any place in the pipe or connection. 2 months ago, I installed a 11 kW Vilant gas water heater. Everything was in order until yesterday evening when it stopped lighting up. In this case, the clicks of the piezo are audible. It seems to me that gas is not supplied when the water supply valve is opened. I'm right? Do you have good batteries? It is possible that they are enough to give a spark, but not enough to open the solenoid valve. Tell me, is it allowed to install Vaillant Atmomag OE 14-0 / 0 gas water heaters in the bathroom? It is recommended to install gas water heaters in the kitchen. As a rule, it is this room that meets all the requirements. First, it has the necessary air flow. It should circulate freely in space. For this, holes are made at the bottom of the door. The advantage of the kitchen is the presence of a ventilation duct and the possibility of ventilation through an open window. It is not always possible to ensure a constant supply of fresh air in the bathrooms, in particular during operation of the appliance. The second requirement concerns the area of the premises. It should not be less than 7 sq. m. The area of standard bathrooms is small. What are the requirements for water supply and gas supply? With insufficient pressure (less than 0.5-0.35 bar), the gas column will either simply not work, or it will overheat, which will shorten its service life. You can solve the problem of low water pressure using a special pump. Since the condition for the operability of the “flow-through” is an intense water pressure, the maximum inlet pressure can be quite high - 13 bar. For gas, a nominal pressure characteristic of 13 bar is given. What is gas control? This is an additional safety measure for the Vaillant Mag 14-0 / 0 rxz gas water heater, thanks to which you can avoid gas leakage if the burner flame goes out or someone accidentally turns the power regulator. There are two types of gas control: one is designed for water heaters with piezo ignition and operates from a thermocouple. Thanks to it, fuel is supplied to the burner only if the user holds down the ignition button or the rotary gas supply knob for a few seconds. If you accidentally turn the knob, the thermocouple will not work, which means that the burner flame will not ignite. The second type is ionization flame control. It is only used in equipment with electric ignition. A special electrode is attached to the igniter, which prevents unwanted ignition of the main burner. It monitors the level of electrical conductivity of the flame. When gas is burned, a large number of free electrons and ions are formed, which are attracted to the electrode on the igniter. When they move, a current is generated that is sufficient to open the fuel supply valve to the burner. If there is not enough energy, the main burner will not start. Operation and maintenance The automation on Vaillant Mag OE 11-0 / 0 xz gas water heaters is fully hydraulic controlled. The igniter is constantly on. The operation of the automation depends on the speed of water flow through the water unit. In order to ignite the column, the control knob must be set to the “ignition” position. In this case, the pusher of the handle axis crushes the solenoid valve. Then it is necessary to press the piezoelectric element, while a spark appears in the ignition burner, from which the flame ignites. After 10-20 seconds, you can switch the handle to the operating mode. In this case, you can select the "summer" or "winter" mode. The flame from the pilot heats up the thermocouple. A voltage of about 30 millivolts is generated across it. This is sufficient for the solenoid to keep the valve compressed. In this case, the gas unit is in working order. The Vilant column is in standby mode until the hot water supply tap is opened. As soon as water begins to flow through the water unit, the rod moves under its influence and opens the valve that supplies gas to the burner. A working igniter ignites the main burner and heats the water. After the flow of water has stopped, the water unit returns to its original state. The valve closes and the burner goes out. In this case, the igniter continues to burn. The column consists of the following units - Traction breaker; heat exchanger; a burner equipped with a gas supply rail and nozzles; gas unit; water unit; thermocouple; pilot burner. In this case, the gas and water units must be disassembled, and, if necessary, they can be repaired. For repair, it is necessary to dismantle the outer casing, after which an inspection can be carried out. To dismantle it, unscrew the fastening screw located under the lower handle. If the tightness is broken, this can happen due to the fact that the heat exchanger is burnt out or rusted. Also, the seals and oil seals of the water unit could wear out. One-off cases when the gas burner did not turn off after the water supply tap was closed may be due to the fact that the water in the heat exchanger has boiled. This is possible with poor heat transfer. Steam generation occurs there, and the release of hot steam can melt some parts of the water unit. The original heat exchanger parts are very easy to replace. There are cases when the gas handle is installed in the ignition position, while after pressing the piezoelectric element, the igniter does not light up. In this situation, the igniter can be ignited with a match or lighter. This is due to improper installation of the spark plugs. It can also be contaminated. It is very rare for a piezoelectric element to fail. You can visually verify the presence or absence of a spark. The candle is easy to clean, and the electrode is easy enough to set in the desired position. Sometimes the following malfunction happens. After the ignition burner has ignited, after a while, necessary for the thermocouple to warm up (the knob is turned in the operating position), the igniter goes out. This may be due to a breakdown of the solenoid valve of the gas unit. It can oxidize the contacts between the valve itself and the thermocouple. It is also possible that the thermocouple itself is broken, or the thermostat of the gas control system. This thermostat is soldered with wires to a thermocouple, and can be checked by shorting. It is also necessary to check the valve of the gas unit itself for operability. If you disassemble the valve of the gas unit, you can find there a plastic cylindrical part with a groove for moving along the axis. If this groove is worn out, the valve will not work correctly. Another frequent breakdown of the Vilant gas water heater. When the igniter is on and the gas valve handle is set to the operating mode (summer or winter mode), after opening the water, the main burner does not ignite. The following reasons are possible: breakdown of the water unit, clogging of the filter, or the tube inside, the membrane may also be damaged. The water unit also has the following problem. The stem acting on the gas valve may stuck in the up position due to a broken water flow valve. You should pay attention to the small tongue on the membrane. Its function is to smoothly turn on the gas at the moment when the water supply valve is open. This is done by increasing the flame for a few seconds. At the same time, when the tap closes, it instantly extinguishes the burner. If this tongue does not adhere tightly to the lower half of the water unit, that is, does not cover the via of the Venturi tube, then boiling water will go into it the next time the tap is opened. This breakdown can be eliminated by repairing the water unit, or by installing a new one. If the Vaillant Atmomag 11-0 / 0 xz pro geyser goes out, then most likely the heat exchanger is clogged with soot. Poor draft or poor supply of fresh air in the room is also possible. If gas is consumed about 2 cubic meters per hour, about 25 cubic meters of air should flow into the room. If the device is installed in a small room where there is insufficient ventilation, it will switch off periodically. To eliminate the problem with spontaneous shutdown, gas workers can short-circuit the gas control system sensor. It is forbidden. When the water heater is ignited, popping sounds may be heard. This happens if the pilot nozzles are clogged. This can also happen if the gas filter of the igniter is clogged. Or the flame is too small to reach the working burner. Accordingly, ignition will occur only when the gas fills the entire chamber. When ignited, it explodes, emitting a characteristic sound. To avoid this, it is necessary to carry out a technical inspection of the unit at least once a year. Some people use the device for many years and do not conduct an inspection - this is wrong. To service the device, it must be completely dismantled. The chopper must be cleaned from dirt and dust. The heat exchanger is cleaned of soot. It is also important to clean the burner and pilot nozzle. The gas unit is lubricated, and the water unit is flushed with water. The membrane must be inspected and replaced if necessary.

Principle of operation
Vaillant heats up about fourteen liters of water per minute. They are often used for installation in residential buildings and apartments.
The scheme of their work is quite simple.
- Heat exchanger.
It is a plate-type element that is located close to the combustion chamber. The water that is supplied through the heat exchanger passes through the pipe, at this time it is heated from the walls of the chamber. - Burner.
It has an important function in providing combustion in the chamber. The element is usually made of stainless steel, but some models may use a chrome-nickel alloy. There are two types of burners - constant power and modulating. In the former, there is no automatic heating regulation. But it can be easily put on the panel, then the device will independently maintain the temperature. Modulating ones are capable of automatically responding to changes in work. Many models have a temperature detector that can adjust the power to a constant temperature.
- The combustion chamber.
This is the so-called unit, which is designed for fuel combustion. The device can contain two types of these elements: open and closed. Open is an open type structure, inside of which gas combustion occurs. The air that sustains the flame comes from the room. In a device of such a plan, natural draft is used, therefore a chimney must be installed. Closed has a higher efficiency. It can be of a turbocharged type, while fixing parts that are capable of creating artificial traction. In such devices, chimneys with a coaxial type are presented. - Ignition system.
To start up the device, you need to ignite the burner. The piezo ignition system works by converting a mechanical action into a spark. When the speaker turns on, a button is pressed on the case and the piezoelectric element is activated. This part creates a spark that ignites not only the soldering iron, but also the central torch. Models that have electronic ignition are the most convenient to use; opening the tap is enough to start the columns. - Automation.
Gas water heaters are equipped with automation, making their use simple and comfortable. These elements include thrust sensors, water pressure control detectors, thermocouples, hydraulic valves.
